Vista Adult School

Vista Adult School provides the community with a wide offering of traditional adult-education programs, community-education courses and career-technical education programs, serving approximately 17,000 adults each year.  Vista Adult School also manages Regional Occupational Programs in all three comprehensive high schools.  The program is run from the Sunset campus just south of Highway 78. There is also a extended-studies campus and literacy center.

Vista Adult School operates various English as a Second Language courses in our satellite campuses as well as other Vista Unified School District campuses, community centers, churches, city facilities and in local business. The campuses offer a high school diploma and GED program along with a concurrent program for high school students making up credits. There are three sessions each day Monday through Saturday from September through July.

A Health Academy at the main campus offers certified programs in phlebotomy, pharmacy technician, medical assistance and medical billing. The Business Academy prepares people for occupations in accounting, bookkeeping and clerical work. The Arts and Media Academy offers training for students interested in digital art, graphic design and website design. Vista Adult School is expanding to offer a Culinary Arts Academy for adults interested in entering the restaurant workforce as professional chefs or restaurant managers. Our Community Education program operates year round providing over 150 courses, workshops, and special programs in more than 20 sites in Vista.

“Vista Adult School has something for everyone,” Principal Ebon Brown said.
